How to Make Bricks in Minecraft

Bricks are one of the most old-school and still used decorative blocks in Minecraft.

You can build tons of houses and the materials are very easy to find.

In this guide, we will explain how to make bricks in Minecraft and how they can be found.

What are bricks in Minecraft

Bricks are decorative blocks that have 2 purposes in Minecraft.

You can use them to make brick blocks or flower pots, which are again used for decorative purposes.

If you have enough bricks in your inventory, you can use them to make brick slabs, brick stairs, or even brick walls.

Where can I find bricks in Minecraft

There are 2 ways to get bricks in Minecraft and one of them is by trading with the mason villager.

If you are lucky enough, you may get a good offer such as 16 bricks (normal brick) for 1 emerald.

Aside from that, you can start searching for clay, which can be found underwater next to the land, or in the mines.

Clay can be broken with a bare hand or even with a netherite pickaxe. Both ways will give you from 1 to 4 clay per block mined.

What materials do I need to make bricks in Minecraft

Just like in real life bricks need clay to be made and that happens when you start smelting.

So you will need at least 1 clay to make 1 brick and a furnace to start smelting it.

Also, you will need fuel for the furnace. You can use planks, coal, charcoal, or even jukeboxes if you want to flex hard.

How to make bricks in Minecraft

To make brick in Minecraft, you will need to place the clay in the first box in the furnace, then the coal under it.

Once the smelting starts, you will need to wait until it has been completed.

You will be receiving 0.3 XP for each brick smelted and can wait until the 4th brick has been smelted.

When you have finished the smelting process, you can open up your character’s crafting slots and fill all the spaces with brick.

This means that once you place a brick in every slot you will receive bricks, or in other words a block of bricks.

Can I stack bricks in Minecraft

You can stack up to 64 bricks in Minecraft and 64 brick blocks. If you want to turn your brick blocks back into bricks, that will be impossible.
